The bulestriped lizardfish rests along the bottom, usually in the sand, propped up on its pectoral fins. It relies on its camouflage to conceal it from predators and prey. When a meal happens by it quickly launches off the bottom to catch its prey. We discovered this one at Alice in Wonderland reef, one of Bonaire's trademark double reefs.
