One of the reasons Town Pier was a disappointing dive was the abundance of unnatural stuff you expect to see under a busy pier -- tires, barrels, rope. But the site did offer some picture opportunities, one of which was this purplemouth moray eel, protected in one of those tires. Many morays hunt along the bottom at night, using the finely tuned smell organs on the snout. |
