William is apparently dwarfed here by a nassau grouper. Of course it's just a trick of lens and perspective. But this one was pretty nice sized. Probably more than 3 feet long, with plenty of girth. There were many grouper on the reefs around Little Cayman, mostly nassau but some tigers, yellowfins and even a couple of goliath groupers, one of which had swallowed a very large lobster and had the antennae sticking out of its mouth. |
